Eco Adventure - A Journey through Cuba's Natural Wonders and Conservation Efforts
Experience an intimate glimpse into Cuba’s history and nature with a journey that intertwines Havana, Viñales, and Trinidad, steeped in tradition, culture, and breathtaking landscapes.
Day 1 - Havana: Begin Your Eco Journey
Touch down at Havana's José Martí International Airport and settle into your “casa particular” (BnB). Join your local guide through Old Havana's Historic Center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you'll marvel at the city's architectural grandeur and lively culture. The day culminates with a gourmet dinner at Grados, where young Chef Raulito Bazuka treats us to a unique, history-inspired Cuban menu.
Day 2 - Havana: A Day of Sea & City
Visit Playa El Salado to delve into the underwater world. Learn from a local marine specialist and snorkel or scuba dive to experience the aquatic life first-hand. Following a seaside lunch, journey back in time with a ride in iconic '50s American classic cars, cruising Havana's famous Malecón, visiting key landmarks. Savor authentic Cuban cuisine at Restaurant Antojos in the heart of Old Havana to end the day.
Day 3 - Artemisa: Embracing Farm-to-Table Head to the rural province of Artemisa for Tungasuk Farm. Here, learn about sustainable agriculture from Chef Annabelle Cantarero, a Nicaraguan-born, Paris-trained culinary wizard who combines passion for food and land. Help with the harvest and enjoy an organic farm-to-table lunch. Conclude the day with dinner at the atmospheric Paladar Atelier.
Day 4 - Havana: Art & Biking Adventure
Begin the day with a bike ride and learn about Masa Crítica Habana, a Cuban cycling initiative, from Yasser González, a young local. In the afternoon, venture on a behind-the-scenes art tour, visiting the studios of upcoming and established Cuban artists. Top off your day with rooftop drinks at El Cocinero, followed by an artistic evening at Fábrica de Arte Cubano for music, art, and a dinner at their restaurant, Tierra.
Day 5 - Havana: Immersed in Nature's Charm
Say goodbye to your BnB as we journey to Hacienda El Patron, Cuba's first glamping farm. Learn about ecotourism practices while enjoying a serene boat ride on the farm's lake and a hearty lunch. Spend the afternoon exploring the land and its resident animals. Unwind on hammocks and join a memorable dinner under the starlit sky.
Day 6 - Havana: A Mindful Farewell
Begin your last day with a rejuvenating sunrise yoga class, followed by a leisurely brunch. With a heart full of wonderful memories and an expanded understanding of Cuban ecology and conservation, prepare for your departure from Havana's airport. As we bid farewell to this vibrant island, we look forward to welcoming you back to explore its hidden gems further.
